Memphis Lyrics
I am going down the lonesome road to Memphis
And I have come from the valley of the damned to Memphis.
My love has gone with the devil to the well of poison
But I declare I drink my fill from that well of poison
Oohhh
The lord's gonna save my soul
Somewhere in the hills of Memphis.
Oohhh
The lord's gonna save my soul
Somewhere in the hills of Memphis
And the lord's gonna rest my bones
Somewhere in the hills of Memphis
Hoo hoo
And I have come from the valley of the damned to Memphis.
My love has gone with the devil to the well of poison
But I declare I drink my fill from that well of poison
Somewhere in the hills of Memphis.
Oohhh
Somewhere in the hills of Memphis
And the lord's gonna rest my bones
Somewhere in the hills of Memphis
Hoo hoo

HAHAHA the assistant coach for the Memphis Tigers college football team is name... John Wozniak! coincidence? definitely... but apparently he was recently hired from Montana, which could fit the "i am going, down the long lonesome road to memphis" line =p go google that shit if you dont believe me!
ok jokes aside i think its woz going to rehab or something of that sorts. it all fits. "i have come from the valley of the damned to memphis" or "i declare, i drank my fill from that well of poison. and then "the lords gonna rest my bones, somewhere in the hills of memphis" i heard this song was an old song that he wrote that someone convinced him to out on this cd, which would can my guess at what it means, but idk, sounds like rehab to me.
