Rearrange Beds Lyrics
That bit before you remember
Everything you own begins to blend in
To bones that ache with things that you can't spell
Rearrange beds to make sure thoughts flow straight from my house to yours
When you're asleep you can forget about us all
Aches that sail like ships through cartilage you never did anything to
For some reason it wants you to know it's not so happy with you
When your eyes open wide for just one second inside
The morning is your own, the morning is your own
When your eyes start to clear up and you come to terms with everything that you've got
The loves don't fall out like they used to, they just fall straight back into you
Aches that sail like ships through cartilage you never did anything to
For some reason it wants you to know it's not so happy with you
When your eyes open wide for just one second inside
The morning is your own, the morning is your own
The morning is your own, the morning is your own
Save a piece of strength for me
Keep it safe and clean and tidy
I swear, one day, it'll come in handy
Save a piece of strength for me
Keep it safe and clean and tidy
I swear, one day, it'll come in handy
Aches that sail like ships through cartilage you never did anything to
For some reason it wants you to know it's not so happy with you
When your eyes open wide for just one second inside
Aches that sail like ships through cartilage you never did anything to
The morning is your own, the morning is your own

It's "The laughs" rather than "The loves". Weird how they didn't accept my version of the lyrics even though I sent them before the album was released into iTunes.
i love an horse but i swear if their lyrics don't make any sense at all.
Through all the rambling, I get a vague idea that the song is about a separated couple. "Rearrange beds to make sure thoughts flow straight from my house to yours" = when the guy makes his bed,it reminds him of the girl/singer The singer is accusing the guy: "Aches that sail like ships through cartilage you never did anything to For some reason it wants you to know it's not so happy with you" She knows even he hurts due to the break-up, but he won't admit.
"The morning is your own" = he wakes up alone
"The laughs don't fall out like they used to..." = the guy realises what he's missing/"they just fall back into you" = the joke's on him(?)
"Save a piece of strength for me..." = possibly someday he'll want her back
When I listen to the song and especially looking at the lyrics I envision this song being about an elderly person. Someone suffering from crippling arthritis and the singer in this case is somebody who loves them and is watching the person slowly entombed by their illness.

The lines "the morning is your own" and "save a piece of strength for me" seem to speak to the fact that although this person is slowly being taken by their illness, the speaker is asking them to take strength when they can cause they will need it in the future....

Just what I envisioned when I listened to it.
