Through the Dark

It’s about a failed relationship. She needed more than he could give... and he wasn’t giving enough because for some reason or another he either didn’t know how, was blinded by judgment, or he simply couldn’t convey his feelings clearly enough to her.

He refers to her as the person reaching through the dark. She is trying desperately to hold on to him as he slips away. Alexi refers to her as "someone" to emphasize the idea that she is becoming just another person rather than someone that he truly knows how to care about.

This is not to say he doesn’t care about her at all, because in the next segment -

"You need someone to hear you when you sigh...Someone to love you more than I. Ooooh"

He acknowledges all the ways in which he could/should treat her. He also acknowledges that he is not doing enough for her... she needs someone that knows how to love her better than he.

And the final segment - "I love you girl...Even with my heart in the way"

He is simply lamenting... he loves her... he loves her so much... but cant because his heart is pulling him in some other direction.

he gets his feelings across so well. a lost love can leave you feeling like you have no energy, or life left in you. this song sounds as though the only thing on his mind is the one he loves. he loves her(him) so much, got to add some humor. this song has made me cry many of times in the thought of my last girlfriend.

I sure need someone to hear me when I sigh ^^

Sometimes the only way you can really love someone is by letting them go.

This is about someone who is dying and is hoping that there's someone who could replace him in her life. That he would lover her more that he did. :)
