Fresh Garbage Lyrics
Fresh garbage
Fresh garbage
Look beneath your lid some morning,
See those things you didn't quite consume
The world's a can for your fresh garbage
(Instrumental)
(Repeat)
Fresh garbage
See those things you didn't quite consume
The world's a can for your fresh garbage
(Repeat)
Add your song meanings, interpretations, facts, memories & more to the community.
Could be about the environment or it could be sociological.
The sociological interpretation LID = Head, so BENEATH YOUR LID = brain, mind. THOSE THINGS YOU DID NOT QUITE CONSUME = Ideas one doesn't quite "get" or have an understanding of. THE WORLD'S A CAN FOR YOUR FRESH GARBAGE = society blindly and stupidly accepts nonsense that ignorant people spout about things they don't even really understand.

Who knows what the lyrics mean? It might be an environmental song or it might be an analogy of some other type of "garbage" we keep under our secret lid.
It's named after an independent music merchandise store based in Belfast, Northern Ireland that sells products such as band t-shirts, belts, wrist bands, jewellery, hair dyes and bongs
Randy California or one of the other members in an interview stated there was a garbage workers strike in Los Angeles county or at least it impacted on Topanga Canyon. He said he went outside and there was mounds of fresh garbage.
