Live for the Kill Lyrics
The pack of wolves
Are closing in
(Now hear the howling beasts)
They move fast
Through winter woods
(And soon it's time to feast)
A vicious hunt
On through the night
(The prey is short of breath)
They feel the sting
Of burning eyes
(That's fixed upon their necks)
A predator's heart
Knows no remorse
It lives for the hunt
A predator's heart
Knows no remorse
It lives for the hunt
A natural force
They show their sharp
And grinning teeth
(As howls are getting higher)
Sending chills
Down fleeing spines
(Their blood runs hot as fire)
The vicious chase
Is soon at end
(They're hunted until death)
They feel the pain
Of sharpening steel
(That's cutting through their flesh)
Fearless warriors
Feed the wolves
(Now hear the howling beasts)
They move fast
Through winter woods
(See the grey-backs feast)
A natural force
It knows no remorse
And lives for the kill
Are closing in
(Now hear the howling beasts)
They move fast
Through winter woods
(And soon it's time to feast)
On through the night
(The prey is short of breath)
They feel the sting
Of burning eyes
(That's fixed upon their necks)
Knows no remorse
It lives for the hunt
A predator's heart
Knows no remorse
It lives for the hunt
A natural force
And grinning teeth
(As howls are getting higher)
Sending chills
Down fleeing spines
(Their blood runs hot as fire)
Is soon at end
(They're hunted until death)
They feel the pain
Of sharpening steel
(That's cutting through their flesh)
Feed the wolves
(Now hear the howling beasts)
They move fast
Through winter woods
(See the grey-backs feast)
It knows no remorse
And lives for the kill

Musically this song is awesome, but the lyrics are totally redundant.
Aww, give 'em a break, they have a limited range of topics to write music in. Although I do agree that it seems a bit redundant, it turns out their songs tend to be very narrow in terms of topic space. Not that I'm saying this is a bad thing at all, simply their style. Most of their songs have to do with battle, instinctual violence, soldiers' lives, plundering, killing etc. which are all ideas associated with viking and viking metal. So each song deals with a single idea, such as a predator's chase, the description of an army or...

So each song deals with a single idea, such as a predator's chase, the description of an army or a dying warrior's last thoughts. I think it makes their lyrical style really simple and cool.
Apocalyptica's appearence is just amazing, as the rest of the song.
