Haven't a great idea about the song's meaning but I read it somewhere that he said ''some of the best song's are written in only a few minutes''

Coincidence this song only took a half hour! Brilliant tune

At the risk of sounding like one of the people i despise the most, this song describes my life perfectly right now. Maybe its my situation and my mind making it fit. But this is how i see it.

He's not got much confidence in himself due to his past but he knows this girl who he's beyond crazy about. But this girl is unsure about him for many reasons- distance, past relationships etc So she's scared of getting hurt and is messing him around alot because she can't make her mind up if she wants him or not. This is just dragging out and on and on and he's going out of his mind cos all he wants is her and just wishes it was easier by her feeling the same way. He's tryed everything to convince her he's not like the other guys. He knows that he should just walk away but he can't bare to walk away because all he can do is hang on for this girl cos all he can think about is her but he knows its never gonna happen. But its better than the alternative of nothingness. Hope sometimes is all you have to get you through the dark clouds. He loves her, she loves him but can only be his friend, so naturally he "Wants more" I kinda feel a link to Skin of my teeth because I think thats along a similar line the whole "lost my luck" thing and the theme of not allowing your hopes to get up because you know your not wanted but still you cling because there is always that chance that someone wants you and you dont have to live without this person.
