It's about how fucked up life can be, making wrong choices and how you try not to go over the deep end and give up, "try" to do better next time. "Get Me Out Alive". or at least thats what it means to me.

just the lyrics as a whole suggests that to me
its about someone i know of =P
he is fallin apart but he doesnt know why,he tries to stop it but he cant,he's trapped on himself in the routine of thinking about it, and the last part about bringing himself back
well,thats what i think but i feel like i just changed the words of the song, haha

If it's about suicide, the water is probably drowning the narrator here. And the ending is like "Yeah, I gave up, Anyway." -So there goes the Water.
