I'm and Irish cripple, a Scottish jew
I'm the blackmail man
A raspberry ripple, a buckle-my-shoe
I'm the blackmail man
I'm a dead fish coon, a pikey Greek
I'm the blackmail man
A silvery spoon, a bubble and squeak
I'm the blackmail man
Well, I'm the blackmail man and I know what you do
Every one of you, I'm the blackmail man
You make me sick, make me Tom and Dick
I'm the blackmail man
Blackmail man
I'm a Paki, Chink a half-cocked ponce
I'm the blackmail man
A tiddly -wink, a Charlie Ronce
I'm a no socks tramp, a cavalier drunk
I'm the blackmail man
A paraffin lamp, an elephants trunk
I'm the blackmail man
I'm the blackmail man and I know what you do
Every one of you, blackmail man
I hate yoru guts, your Newington Butts
I'm the blackmail man
Hampton wick, Parrafin lamp
Fraiser and Nash, Pony and trap
Blackmail man
Up you harris, in your mince
Hamptons don't leave fingerprints
I am the blackmail man

This is an ANTI-RACIST song, god it pisses me off when people think otherwise. Apparently the name is a play on words, Black Male, geddit? It’s supposed to be an ironic statement on the silly narrow minded views silly narrow minded people have about racial stereotypes.

Here is a list of all the rhyming slang in the song:

Raspberry ripple – cripple Buckle-my-shoe – Jew Silvery spoon – black man (actually means ‘coon’ but I hate that fucking word) Bubble & squeak – Greek Tom & Dick – sick Paki – Pakistani, not rhyming slang just a shortening, slightly racist. Chink – Chinese, not rhyming slang just a shortening, slightly racist Ponce - 'scrounger' (someone who lives off of somebody else etc), not rhyming slang Tidily-wink – Chink (Chinese) Charlie Ronce - ponce Paraffin lamp – tramp Elephant’s trunk – drunk Newington Butts – guts Hampton wick – dick Berkshire hunt – cunt Fraiser & Nash – a slash (urinate) Pony & trap – crap ‘up your harris’ – up your ass – Harris = aris = short for Aristotle, Aristotle = Bottle, Bottle = Bottle & Glass which = Arse = the buttocks (yeah I know) In your mince – in your eyes, Mince = Mince Pies = eyes Hamptons – penises (Hampton Wicks = Dicks)

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
