On a boat in the Gulf of Mexico
I know, I know it doesn't snow
I know, I know where to go
In the book by my bed
That holds all the maps of places we travel and where lives intersect
I know, I know where to go
I know, I know it doesn't snow
A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell
Oh, yes, I'm doing so well
A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell
Oh, yes, I can see so well
And you're nowhere to be seen
And you're nowhere to be seen
Sometimes you lay up like a map in front of me
Well, you know I have to go
But you know I'll come home
And when I climb on my ship
I will call around
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell
Oh, yes, I'm doing so well
A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell
Oh, yes, I can see so well
And you're nowhere to be seen
And you're nowhere to be seen
And you're nowhere to be seen
And you're nowhere to be seen
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell
Oh, yes, I'm doing so well
A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell
Oh, yes, I can see so well
I can see you
On horizons true
And I can see through
All horizons true
I know, I know it doesn't snow
I know, I know where to go
In the book by my bed
That holds all the maps of places we travel and where lives intersect
I know, I know where to go
I know, I know it doesn't snow
Oh, yes, I'm doing so well
A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell
Oh, yes, I can see so well
And you're nowhere to be seen
And you're nowhere to be seen
Well, you know I have to go
But you know I'll come home
And when I climb on my ship
I will call around
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
Oh, yes, I'm doing so well
A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell
Oh, yes, I can see so well
And you're nowhere to be seen
And you're nowhere to be seen
And you're nowhere to be seen
And you're nowhere to be seen
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
I believe in horizons now
Oh, yes, I'm doing so well
A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell
Oh, yes, I can see so well
I can see you
On horizons true
And I can see through
All horizons true

I'm not sure about the chorus It sounds like that's what she's saying but it doesn't make much sense to me so if you think it's something else or know that it's definitely correct, please do comment =)
For my understanding, the song is about a brake up, and how she is seeing calm sees after the wave has come and left.

"A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell Oh, yes, I'm doing so well"

The frighten notion of being something so small almost engulfed on a force of nature, but she is doing fine, and she will overcome it because she sees beyond it. I might be wrong but that's what I got from it

at the chorus it's actually: And you're nowhere to be seen
i love the whole jaunty sound of this album. very excited to see them next weekend at the canopy club. go aussies.
Just found these guys on last.fm today. I think this song is about getting over a break up or getting over disappointment or something along those lines. This verse:
"A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell Oh, yes, I'm doing so well A rooftop crow's nest in a sea swell Oh, yes, I can see so well And you're nowhere to be seen And you're nowhere to be seen"
The lookout seems to me to be the singer looking out at the big picture and not getting bogged down, not getting sad or upset over the person/thing who/which is no longer a part of their life. Horizons are hopeful. I think this song is quite hopeful.
