In my own personal opinion I think its about a relationship. The relationship sounds like it might not be doing to well, and one person is trying really hard saying that they can trust them, but the other person has trust issues or something along those lines and thinks that the person who's trying really hard will "Leave them down".
I think this song was strongly influenced by Carah's leaving of Shiny Toy Guns. It doesn't seem like they left on good terms. I'm finding it difficult to figure out what happened when the band split, but if you look at the lyrics of Versant's songs I get the picture Carah was left because she felt hurt and betrayed. The lyrics of Out of Touch also seem to support this.

Personally, I'm glad she's doing Versant now because, don't get me wrong, Chad[STG] can sing reeeally good but I mainly listened to Carah wen she was with them lol. So just hearing her fer Versant? I'm lovin it!! :D <<3
