Last Man Standing

This is a pretty decent song.

Excellent song but I see this differently than the previous comments

I feel it's about a guy who had previously dated this girl.. still friends.. still wants her

"Who's messing round with you in the corner? He better say his prayers"

• basically she is this person that doesn't know how to commit so outcome is pretty much inevitable so any new person better say their prayers that this time may be the change

And the narrator is the friend/ex that sees all these new relationship come and go and in the midst of it all he is always her comfort..

"I wish you would try and look A little more excited Let me stay, let me 'cause I'm coming anyway"

Basically saying "I wish you would actually show that you care about me like I care about you.. Let me stay for good because every time a new relationship fails .. you are calling me back to comfort you anyways

And like a fool I always come back.. Last Man Sranding

Obvisously a guy who likes a girl and would kill to protect/help her, and "you found yourself a new senstaion, but baby its a jungle out there" means she plays around and he warns her its too dangerous (a jungle). Being the last man standing/surviviing simply meaning he takes alot of pain and manages to be the last one to give in, quit or die. There is a sense of eternal or spiritual feelings too, so maybe being the last man home meaning that he fights until second coming of christ/death then assends to heaven.

p.s. I think its "the ones your counting on are all BYGONE"
