This is a great opening track. Pounding drums, some nice melodic touches and keyboards that bring their older style to mind. I like the piano work during the verses.
The Temple of the Crescent Moon is also Tiamats' recording studio.
This album is marred by terrible production. The volume on the bass is too high at times and the kick drums have too much presence (seriously, did they really need to be that much punch? O.o). On the other hand, the cymbals and snares also lack that oomph. Great album musically but the quality is unforgivable.
Their best album post Slumber. and a great song to start it.
