Amazing song. I think it's and "longing and sorrow" in the second verse. And the bridge I have no idea, but it sounds kinda like "I never thought this path was just another bleaking out, it brought me back and wait for your return"

I can't really tell the meaning of the song, but I think it's about a guy talking about the girl that left him and how she just wants to be happy now and he has to let go. but i am probably wrong.

I think the meaning of this song has something to do with you going forward even with hard times "and in disarray you just want to live one more day" like you're moving along and holding on as long as you can to get back on the right track. "you just want to be happy now" you're sick of being sad and ready to forget about the past and be happy. "longing and sorrow it'll find you where we are smiling down the avenue" even though you try to forget and be happy it will come back to you/stay in the back of your mind, but you will just have to smile and keep moving to stay happy. "and the children getting younger as we pass" you're getting older.."they couldn't make you turn back" given you had a second chance, and remembering back to your happy childhood you wouldn't want to go back. "When every fire we sparked was just another blinking out" sometimes, again hard times will come back, but they will be just a "spark"/ very quick and you'll be fine. "They're glowing like an ember in the dark" they'll stay there for a while but in the end you're happy and they burn out(:
