Hewlett Lyrics

Quick, get in,
Then wait for the door.

For a few seconds we'll do
What we've been waiting.

What I've been waiting
All night for.

As each floor passes,
I wish more and more,
That you lived at the top floor.

Two million feet tall
And you lived at the top floor.

Oh, now I realize more and more
That I would love to be the one,
Oh, I would love to be the one
Who makes you happy...
Or feel anything at all.

We've never even said a single thing out loud,
But I won't hold that against us.

Even if you were here,
We'd still let our eyes do the talking.

I find myself always forgetting this thing that should be involuntary.

You gotta breathe,
You gotta breathe,
You gotta breathe,
Oh, it's so cliche how you make my thoughts stop.

Oh, I would love to be the one,
Oh, I would love to be the one
Who makes you happy...
Or feel anything at all.

Oh, I would love to be the one,
Oh, I would love to be the one
Who makes you happy...

Quick, get in,
Then wait for the door.

Cover art for Hewlett lyrics by Mile After, The

Hewlett gets it's name from the hall at UNC-W with the same name. I talked to the band about it and Chase said: "Hewlett is indeed about the dorm. The elevator in specific. The entire song is about an impromptu, drunk make-out session i had in that elevator one night freshman year."

:)! so there's the story. from one of the amazing boys, himself.
