In personal opinion I believe that these good ole boys from murfreesboro tennessee "my home town" are telling the story of inner society problems. The Sheep led to the slaughter lyric is "remember this is in personal opinion" describes the problems of the government leading all the U.S. troops to the hell box of Iraq....

The lyrics seem to be about a guy whose with a girl who makes promises she can't keep, and she's done this same thing before. She just says thing without any meaning, and then she ends up hurting herself in the end. And to the guy, this is nothing new.
