This song is not celebrating Obama on his merits, but on his skin color, and seeing how far this country has come in order to have its first black president. It may seem and actually is a bit racist, but looking at America's struggle with its minorities it's really hard to understand how meaningful this moment is without actually being in their shoes. My one dislike of this song is the line about no presidents ever doing shit, but there is some truth to it. Most presidents did not help blacks out of the kindness of their hearts, they did minimal changes that were greatly restricted in order to avoid public backlash. But that's just my own qualm.
