I can totally relate to this song I kinda aim this at my "best friend" that my ex girlfriend cheated on me with...you kinda need to of been through something that fucked up to realise what this song is about.

um... people who are saying that the title "sleep with one eye open" means keep on watch for people who'll fuck you over, i highly doubt thats what its referring to. its part of the song... "sleep with one eye open, (because) if i had it my way, id slit your throat with the knife that you left in my back" the title is to do with him warning the faggot that fucked him over, coz hes gonna get him.

Maybe 7 years of high school or Primary school is where he met his bestie which we have here in australia.

yeah its not about an ex, it seems to be about a best friend of the opposite sex who stabbed him in the back

i know what this song means! this is about one of oli's best friends and also a good friend of BMTH who used to help sell their merch on their bigcartel store and at shows, he took some of their merch and sold it on ebay!! hence he was with them on their last tour but isn't with them on the "party till you pass out tour" right now!

you lot are stupid cunts. this song goes with 'suicide season'. suicide season is about oli's friend who lose someone dear to him and because of that, oli's friend was never the same, thus losing him as a friend. now this song is about that same friend and how this friend has taken him for granted. Well this part is referring to how this friend has leeched off Oli's friendship , and with the last line he's saying to him he wont help his friend no more so well just leave.

the 1st line means that just one action this friend did ripped apart everything they had gone through for the past 7 years .

2nd line is saying that he had a tattoo dedicated to the friendship , so he's saying now its over , it may as well disappear

3rd line is referring to something the friend normally did when friends with Oli . and the last line refers to that saying he's now sold him and Oli's friendship and has lost his best friend so is on his own .

I think song is abit like, RE: They have no Reflections, and about all of his old friends and how they treated him like shit! I think this is actually about a friendship. Many people know Oli's friends in highschool treated him like shit, and this is just another song expressing his anger.
