I really like this song. I'm pretty sure the lyrics posted are wrong for the first verse though. I hear "just know it's a lie" instead of "there's nowhere to walk."

After listening again you could very well be right. I agree with the theory that suggests when lyrics are unclear we sometimes make them what we want them to be.

@your old flame I'm 18 years late but I actually messaged the band on their facebook asking them this very question lol. But the thing is, either lyrics make sense to me albeit in their own different ways and I find it quite serendipitous!
