Things That Rhyme With Orange Lyrics

I'm so iconoclastic; I'M CLASTIC!
I only want you to think I'm fantastic.
I'll participate in what you believe,
IF YOU GIVE ME THE ATTENTION!
Yeah, yeah that's the only compensation.
I want to be included in your conversation.

So am I "In" or am I "Out"
WHAT IS THERE TO THINK ABOUT!?
What is that paint brush for?
Are you preparing to draw me? No wait, please don't!
I am scared, of what I'll see... I'm not a perfect picture portrait,
But I am working on it!
I've been thinking about being cool, I must have to admit.

Blame it on the corporate skyscrapers In the clouds,
But if it wasn't for you, We wouldn't have all these multiple crowds.
How am I suppose to chose, Which one I belong to?

It's a marker! IT'S A SIGN! It's something we define!
It already exists, BUT YOU HELPED REFINE!
An emblem for all your aesthetic kin, TO RECOGNIZE YOU BY!

Blame it on the corporate skyscrapers In the clouds,
But if it wasn't for you, We wouldn't have all these multiple crowds.
How am I suppose to chose, Which one I belong to?

Obscenity is a crutch for traffic drives.
If you need to use the restroom just ask politely.
I like the way I do it, better than the way your not.
Lifting up the toilet seat was the way I was taught.

It has to be a unanimous determination,
Because one opinion would be a pointless appreciation.

YEAH, SURE THANKS FOR THE INVITATION!
DON'T WANT TO BE INCLUDED IN YOUR CONVERSATION...
IT'S TO LATE! WE'VE OVER THROWN
I TOOK ALL YOUR FRIENDS, AND YOUR ALL ALONE.

Blame it on the corporate skyscrapers In the clouds,
But if it wasn't for you, We wouldn't have all these multiple crowds.

This song is about the desire for acceptance, but I think it's not about an individual in a school setting. Instead, perhaps it's about ISMFOF's critical reception. This song is a big middle finger to all of the critics out there.

"It has to be a unanimous determination, Because one opinion would be a pointless appreciation."

Their album just got tanked by most major critics, but there have been some outliers. I would agree with them and say that ISMFOF is very progressive and... just plain good. I'm glad that they put out a song that stands up for them and their musical paradigm.

Yay! I love this song so much.

this song is really about a guy who is an outcast and he eventually kills himself and that the peopled who [bullied him and labeld him] treated like innocent people and blamed it on the media industry and all that mmedia, because they know they could get away with it, if the government knws that they will lose money and all that.

what are the missing lyrics for the part, after "How am I suppose to chose, Which one I belong to?",but before "its a marker, its a sign..."?

and just my opinion, but i think the song is about a boy thats a loser and insecure and stuff, but he like this girl and starts doing things to get her attention, and losses himself cause of it, but then she like just messes with his head and leads him on, and he gets hurt, stops liking her,and then she starts liking him. but he doesnt want her anymore.

just my opinion...i dunno

The Lyrics That Your Looking For Are

I think I'll perpetuate a pre-existing runway, I guess it's almost as cool as creating a fresh New elaboration yourself.

to your question

I think I'll perpetuate a pre-existing runway, I guess it is all of the shit almost as cool as creating a fresh New elaboration yourself.

I think that this song is mainly about cliques and those who think they are better than everyone. The preps, goths, punks, nerds, whatever. When he says, "Am I in or am I out, what is there to think about," I think he's implying that we are all the same and that you can't judge someone. there's no need to think if someone is good enough to be in your clique. we're all equal.

But that's just my opinion.

I do also think this is about an insecure boy. I think, with the chorus being stated the way it is "Blame it on the corporate skyscrapers in the clouds, but if it wasn't for you, we wouldnt have all these multiple crowds" I think there is more behind it than just that. People care so much about brand names, and the way that everyone else thinks about him, so in the tense that it is about an insecure boy he is saying he is insecure because he is trying so hard to fit into the corporate bullshit, and if it wasnt for the mainsteam and the corporate shit he wouldnt have to feel the way he does about himself.

I think the title has to do with the meaning of the song. The word "orange" is supposed to be a unique word, there aren't supposed to be any real words that rhyme with it. I think Matt is saying that you should be like the word orange. Be yourself, be unique. Sometimes, people try to think of words that rhyme with orange, but they're not real words. Basically, people try to make themselves like something else, but that's not who they really are. They're being fake, usually to try to fit in with the "popular" croud. And Matt doesn't want to be like the people that try to think of words that rhyme with orange, he wants it to be left alone, so it can be itself and be unique. He wants to be himself, but the presures of society are telling him (and other people that want to act themselves) to conform to society, and not be one of a kind like the word orange. Great song, and great message too.

By far the most polished song on the entire album...definitely single worthy. The song is about social acceptance, whether in trying to fit in and conform to certain style or group of people. However, in the end it only makes sense to be original and start your own scene...the song really has two implications...one applies to social acceptance of others and the other to the current state of the music industry and how so many bands are forced to take on a label.

About a guy dying to be with a girl, and pretty much willing to do whatever it takes to get her. He finally got to the point where he realized he's wasting his time, and moved on. Everyone's comments are great! I too think the song is about trying to fit in; not in a school setting however, but rather in relation to the music industry. Between their unique approach and all the bad criticism I don't think I'm too far off.

Also I think the name was cleverly chosen to describe being different also.
