Is blue and gold a reference to Cal?
The line 'become a black sheep with me' pretty much sums the song up. Its about how trends are changing people and that they should be there selves instead of 'Following a flock'. I have no idea why its called blue and gold though. Great song.

This song is about the high school that the band had gone to which was El Segundo High School. The reason I know this is because I'm from same town as the band and grew up going to their shows when they were A Dying Dream.
