The Nature Of Reality Lyrics
The nature of reality
Is pure subjective fantasy
Space and time and here and now
Are only in your mind
I've seen off God and devil too
With no weapon, just the truth
Belief does not existence make
It's only in your mind
The nature of reality is only in your mind
Is pure subjective fantasy
Space and time and here and now
Are only in your mind
With no weapon, just the truth
Belief does not existence make
It's only in your mind

Liams vocals are excellent on this song.10/10
this song rocks! the intro sounds more like tool than oasis lol.. noel still couldve sang it better. the bit with the clap is fucking brilliant to the end of the song!
again, another song where it feels liek your walking through water. this song is saying religion is stupid because there is only self beleif. as in ciggarettes and alcohol, 'you've got to make it happen' the nature of reality iis in your mind, you can decide how you feel and what you should do. Rocking track very good vocals from liam. the bass is wicked
Andy Bell rules!! Yes like bigrobbo2006 told, religion(God and devil stuffs) is just your own mind belief, the truth is God does not exist.
Liams vocals are excellent on this song
(I like some of their other songs.)
After weeks of thinking about it, noel could have sung this and made it a lot better. Noel has a better voice for this type of song and could have made it incredible. Although i think liam vocals are still good, noel could have done it amazing!!!!

This appears to be about the beleifs of Friedrich Nietzsche, perspectivism. We cannot know the true nature of reality, all we have are our thoughts, our perspectives, which should not, in Nietzsches view, be taken at face value as their truth cannot be justified. "I've seen off God" appears to refer to the "God is Dead" side of Nietzsches philosophy. Maybe i'm wrong, it may be about something entirely diffirent, but this is how i perceive it.
I honestly think this song is defined by its title. The nature of what you call "reality" could just be an illusion--the very fragile fabric of reality could not be real at all. People turn to God and religion as an explanation of why we're here, where we're going and where we've been, but we really don't know. This could all be part of some bigger part of thinking or existence or something that we can't even understand with our tiny human brains.
Contrary to popular belief, it does NOT take drugs to realize this shit. It can certainly make your head hurt if you make it complex enough, but the concept of this idea, as a whole, is easy to understand.
A reality of nature Is that you have a mind That was built to ponder Over such designs.
So to just deny God Is not using truth But choosing Satan-blindness To feel sin-excused.
Watch the world die Tears and the cries As crowds just follow along
And who would have thought That the most poison lies Would be mass-fed to dead heads By songs.
I am so sorry I bought my ticket. "Dig out your soul", already.
Okay....This song starts out with what sounds like a snake rattling/ hissing. So, maybe that's what its meant to be - SARCASM towards what is evil-stupid. I sure hope so.
IF it was meant to be sarcasm, though, the RISK of such a number is that there's likely to be people who just take it and love it like it is - literally - correct?
The "nothing really matters" crowd needs to be elevated with truth and hope; not reinforced to just stay as is....
"Waiting for the rapture" won't do it, either - because there WON'T BE a "rapture" (that's a manmade teaching, NOT a scriptural one).
No, instead, people need to break away and go to "where there's life", for real.
I DID like the "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" bit - the part that went something like, "Testing, 1,2,3...Gentlemen, ladies, take your positions, please. This is NOT a drill; I repeat, this is NOT a drill. Could we have the lights in the arena down 60% please....I don't think we could ask for a more beautiful evening, do you?"
