Courting Blues Lyrics

Green are your eyes In the morning, when you rise Don't you be afraid to lie By me, my love Your father will not know

Love can be broken Though no words are spoken Don't you be afraid to lie By me, my love Your father will not know

Love, don't cry I`ll never try Don't you be afraid to lie By me, my love Your father will not know

Green are your eyes In the morning, when you rise Don't you be afraid to lie By me, my love Your father will be told someday About our wedding day(? )

This song is about an innocent girl being seduced by a manipulative man.

Everything looks correct to me except for the 3rd part there... should be "I'll never lie" rather than "I'll never try".

Good work.

Courting Blues was actually written by Bert Jansch in 1965. With that said, Lisa transformed into something her own entirely. An incredibly mysterious song, slowed down to a touch, so much that time seems to slow down with it, dragging the listener along on quite a surreal journey. Truly an amazing rendition if you ask me.
