Country Boy Lyrics

Excuse me ma'am,
I saw you walkin.
I turned around,
I'm not a stalker.
Where you going,
maybe I can help ya?
My tank is full,
I'd be oblidged to take ya.
Cause I'm a country boy,
Gotta four wheel drive.
Climb in my bed,
I'll take you for a ride.
Up city streets,
Down country roads.
I can get you where you need to go.
Cause I'm a country boy.
You sure look good,
sitting in my right seat.
Buckle up,
and I'll take you through the five speeds.
Wind it up,
or I can slow it way down.
In the woods or right up town.
Cause I'm a country boy,
Gotta four wheel drive.
Climb in my bed,
I'll take you for a ride.
Up city streets,
Down country roads.
I can get you where you need to go.
Cause I'm a country boy.
My thirty fives
are whining on the asphault.
Grabbin mud,
and slinging up some red dirt.
Cause I'm a country boy,
My muffler's loud,
Dual thrush tubes.
Let me know
when we are gettin close.
You can slide on out
or we can head on down the road.
Cause I'm a country boy,
Gotta four wheel drive.
Climb in my bed,
I'll take you for a ride.
Up city streets,
Down country roads.
I can get you where you wanna go.
Cause I'm a country boy.

Well, it's pretty obvious what this song is about... just about what it's like to be a "country boy", polite and such, helping people get around and stuff. However, whenever I hear it on the radio I always feel like it's a dirty song... "Climb in my bed, I'll take you for a ride... I can take you where you want to go... Buckle up, I'll take you through the five speeds." Eh?

My Opinion

Yeah although it sounds dirty people think to into it.. He really is just trying to say that we country people aren't jerks and we care and we notice those around us

And just to add the obvious, he is also saying that county people are more utilitarian then people from other areas. They "get things done," so to speak.

My Interpretation

first off, its not a dirty song. so just grow up, there are by-far more dirty songs on the radio and this song is made by a country boy for country boys. The whole song is about a truck, not nessarly (2:30am) his truck but how every coubtry boy owns a lifted truck with huge mud tires and custom engines and exhausts. And how do i know this you ask cause i have a truck just like the song refers to but better of course so its not dirty you want dirty listen to nickelbacks new cd
