this track is so amazing! it ooozes feeling out of every pour! to me its when you know there is no hope left of trying to show someone how much you care and love them but they are just walking away. the constant pain of knowing that you will always be effected by that person presence even when they cant love you back. so sweet - so sad.
It's about two people who are deeply in love with each other but one of them feels they cannot or should not be together. Perhaps it's a love affair. Perhaps their love is taboo.

The words and the way she sings them so clearly show that she doesn't want to end it but feels she has to. She knows their affair is wrong so she knows it's time to move on. She knows she should forget him, but does she want to? No, she doesn't because she still loves him. She can't change the way she feels, her love, for him. She keeps repeating this throughout the song because she knows she should leave, despite his pleading for her to stay.

If she allows him to know her true feelings, that she still loves him, it'll be harder for her to leave.
