i think this song is about someone who will really like someone, but when the person starts to return the same feelings, they lose interest in that person. when you choose me, you start to lose me. then they start regretting saying that they liked that person, because now they don't feel the same way. all they want do is make the person love them so that they can let them go. lose interest in them. and even if the person thinks the person is amazing, they have to ignore it for the battle in their mind and insecurity makes it hard to love another. if you can't learn to love yourself, how can you love another?
