Sleazy Wednesday Lyrics

Welcome to the future
We're all so glad you came
Attacked me in the lame way
In this town you don't get nowhere unless you're on a bicycle
So hip and out of touch
Parked out on a speedway
Just trying not to move; it's only getting harder now
We can engineer a wall that couldn't fall with all this time

My life in Technicolor
Can you check the shutters someone get my mother on the phone
She oughta know what I'm up to
Out here in Hollywood you don't need a sweater 'cause the sun feels better in slow motion
I'll ride the wave back home

Welcome to your next life
We hope you've come prepared
We all wish you the best life
For questions leave a message
We'll call you back, of course we will
So dive in and dye your hair
Yeah, baby, it's the new you
Stitching up your style
But I'm not too concerned with fashion
We could wait for rain to fall but it would only waste our time

My life in Technicolor
Can you check the shutters someone get my mother on the phone
She oughta know what I'm up to
Out here in Hollywood you don't need a sweater 'cause the sun feels better in slow motion
I'll ride the wave back home

i ADORE this song. beautiful.

This song is brilliant. I love the way the somber sound and beat matches with his starting tone of voice.

I think this song speaks about how superficial life "in Hollywood" can be. It is almost as if Andrew is saying that being famous is not all it's cut out to be.

At same time though, he seems to be saying that life is also very easy compared to how it used to be before he got there.

My favorite line is "We could wait for rain to fall but it would only waste our time."

"So dive in and dye your hair Yeah, baby, it's the new you Stitching up your style But I'm not too concerned with fashion"

am i the only one who's thinking that it's about himself in the very beginning of Jack's Mannequin?

that is a really good point italian, i would not have thought about that but you could very well be right!

This song is clearly about Andrew's love for sweaters, hairdye, and surfing.

No, koolaidri, this song is about Andrew's friend who loved the Addams Family so they called her Wednesday as a nickname and she slept with like every guy she met

Its actually about how Andrew has infrared vision, hence the "My life in technicolor."

haha, yes, he has the infrared vision as result of all the drugs he takes. duhhhh. :D

i always thought this song was about the day that andrew found out he had cancer. and how he has to out all of his memories on hold. i could be mistaken, but i believe he found out on a wednesday.
