Evening/Morning Lyrics

Always a drifter, trips to make
The night won't brick if the day won't break
When I was out, did you get in?
Did you draw the right stamp on your skin?

I'm ready to owe you anything (x4)
Oh we can, we can, we can, we can

Keep with me
I hope you'll see that we can speak at slower speeds
When I wake up it will always be there
When I wake up it will always be there
I am ready to...

I am ready to owe you anything (x4)

A night away, we'll work it out (x 4)

great song great video

i think it goes "always a drifter" and "draw the right stamp on your skin, saying... i am ready to owe you anything"

im pretty sure it is "we can" cos later on he goes "we can speak AT slower speeds"

and this is pretty minor but - "when i wake up it will always be THAT... i am ready to... i am ready to owe you anything"

still unsure about the group vocals at the end though! xxx

I'm not sure what it's about but the lyrics are brilliant. I always wonder if the singing in the background is "we can, we can" or "weekend weekend"

I think it's all about personal memories. Still it is beautiful.

i agree a lot with chewbear about the lyrics. always a driftER, trips to make we can speak AT slower speeds when i wake up it will always be THAT

i think its about him finally being able to comit to her. hes ready to have a relationship with her. as he was always a drifter before.

Bombay Bicycle Club is one of my all time favourate bands. they hav an awesome unique sound. i know their song "emergency contraception blues" wont be on this site as its just instrumental but i think it deserves a shout out as one of their best.

you guys have been missing some lines. such as "did you draw the bright stuff on your skin?" and "when i wake up it will always be there". "did you draw the bright stuff on your skin?" where I'm pretty sure he says "saying" referring to someone cutting themselves and the bright stuff being blood."when i wake up it will always be there" not to sure but i believe it means the scar of the cutting.

I feel like this song is about a relationship that became really intense, really quickly. Maybe the girl is wondering if it'll last, and he's trying to reassure her by saying "I am ready to owe you anything" in such an urgent way
