It's about someone that had a bad experience with rejection, and who's met someone who is innocent, pure, and able to take her heart away again. She IS looking for love but also pushing it away. All of a sudden, this boy realizes what she is going through, and feels for her, seeing this new darkness. The innocence is beginning to change into something else. He loves her, too; now, he's not so pure, and can't understand. You can't make maturing stop, can you?
This song is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I wish I could live in the soundscape it produces.
Anyway, it almost sounds like "the wind's at your eyes, at your eyes..." to me. Ah well.

the girl had a bitter experience with love and she chooses not to get tangled again. it's as if her heart had forgotten to grow out of that bitterness. a new possibility of love has arrived but she's trying to fight it back. relationships are complicated.

I agree - I think it's "all the winds at your eyes" or something like that. Seems to fit better with the movement associated with "when will it stop"

I always thought it was, "All the winds that you rise that you rise that you rise...."
