Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black) (Neil Young cover) Lyrics

Hey Hey, My My
Rock and roll will never die
There's more to the picture
Than meets the eye
Hey hey, my my

Out of the blue, and into the black
You pay for this, but they give you that
Once you're gone, you can't come back
When you're out of the blue and into the black

The king is gone, but he's not forgotten
Is this the story of Johnny Rotten?
It's better to burn out than to fade away
The king is gone, but he's not forgotten

Hey hey my my
Rock and roll will never die
There's more to the picture than meets the eye
Hey hey my my

Cover art for Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black) (Neil Young cover) lyrics by Dave Matthews Band

FUCK yeah I'll comment on this song!!! Where my true DMB fans at? I fucking love this fucking song. True fans know the inspiration and mentorship Neil Young has given Dave. For Dave to do this song means a lot to Dave, and I'm sure Neil didn't mind as long as it was done right. There couldn't have been a better person on this planet to give props to this song like Dave can. This song is about passing on the torch of rock and roll to the best rockers next in line. While at the same time remembering the all time greats that made rock and roll what it is today. That why it is a perfect song to cover. Its almost like Jordan passing the torch to LEBRON. Its just so perfect. HEY HEY MY MY!!!
