This is one of my all time favorite songs.
I could never find the lyrics so I finally just decided to decipher the lyrics myself. Please let me know of any corrections/suggestions.
To me this song is about the woman who comes along after a great love. Often movies/books center on first loves but this is about the women falling for a man who's idealized his first love and can't move on.
@ashley2385 @ashley2385 I went to an Art Garfunkel concert and Dee sang this song about how she loved this man and watched him go through a love relationship with someone else, all the while pining for him but loving and wanting the best for him. The relationship eventually broke up and he ended up with her. He is now her husband Mike Mainieri. I tried to find support for this info but couldn't
