I Don't Care Lyrics
also, in an article today on mtv.com patrick said...
"Like the chorus says, 'I don't care what you think as long as it's about me.' It's that pop culture thing again, where people don't care about anything but the superficial, and I think there's something so tragic about that," he laughed. "I also thought there was something so ironically anthemic about the chorus, where it's not something you want to sing along to, because it's vacuous and empty. So I wanted something really anthemic underneath it, like something you'd hear at sports games or whatever, because I wanted people to hear it and be confronted with how empty that is. I didn't want anything to be superficial on this record unless the point was to point out superficiality."

I love this song. I heard about it around a week ago and I've been listening to it non-stop ever since.
Patrick's voice sounds really good in this. And the beat is sorta different, not like most FOB songs. Well, it doesn't sound like most to me.
I really love the "say my name and his in the same breath I dare you to say they taste the same."
Overall, I'm excited for the new album. I really like their old stuff, but it's the same with PATD. Their first album is a complete 360 from their second. They're both really good.
I'm still in love with FOB. :)
What does "say my name and his in the same breath I dare you to say they taste the same." that mean? It's a gay metaphor, I'm assuming? Just asking....

Are you capable of reading and understanding English? Haha.
"I don't care what you think unless it is about me." "I don't care what you think as long as it's about me."
If you are unable to appreciate that those two sentences mean the EXACT OPPOSITE to each other, you must attend some sort of special school - end of.
Why is it such a problem that Fall Out Boy almost used a line from a Nirvana song? Blink 182's done it. You could at least be thorough, Fall Out Boy 'steal' lines from movies too.
In my opinion, Fall Out Boy are getting better with age.
What line did Fall Out Boy "steal" from Nirvana?

part of this song sounds really old school rocknrolly. But still awesome tho after all it's Fall Out Boy
This song was written with Norman Greenbaum .... remember spirit in the sky ... so theres a tip to that with the guitar intro . I love this song because it basically says ' all publicity is good publicity '. I take the point from other reviewers that's its about the vacuous nature of today . But when some one at work was p****ng me off with a bad attitude I quoted this to them and the effect was brilliant it basically it said ' it doesn't matter what you think my ego loves it ' carry on !
i thought Patrick wrote this because he was mad at Pete?? Haha. They fought often too during their earlier albums, or just pre-hiatus in general... You can also see it in 'Release The Bats' when Patrick's hitting Pete in the van ;P
"The best of us can find happiness In misery" throw back lyrics... kinda reminds me of tttyg.
i'm thinking- "no such thing as bad press."
Its different, yeah. But i deffinately like it, catchy as hell xD The introduction reminds me of a song but i cant think what for the life of me D:
for some reason, the intro reminds me of Spirit In The Sky?
