I think it's about him doing drugs because his life has become dull.
I think it's about his denial of an ended relationship and the pain he feels without her... or him - your choice; he goes out looking for her but can never find her, so he goes downtown after he mentions he needs a distraction and puts drugs in his body. The drugs are the distraction and since he's distracted (high/drunk/whatever) he steps back up and he's the life of the party; the heat may be another person (?). It's cyclical, the days are slow cause he's sober; the nights fast cause he's having a blast under the influence, numbing the heartache only to wake with it once again... in my opinion. Awesome song though. The first time I heard this song I felt so happy listening to it for some reason.
this song reminds me of myself lol. its pretty much how my day goes all the time. i used to do that but drugs are no good for the body xD. except a little greens, of course.
It's about a guy waiting for his drug dealer in the streets and being impatcient to get more drugs. "it's only sometime before we get together" means that it's going to happen, maybe not in that song but eventually and the nights go fast because he's on drugs, days slow because he's not/he's waiting for the dealer.
it's about the way somebody who look & hope for the coming of her/his love. but in the end that somebody were drowning on his/her very own mind, and end up destructing him/her-self
