I think the meaning is very clear, she's so caught up in him she would go wherever he went knowing that at the end of the day he is not going to stay. She is willing to wait around for the time to be right but she knows deep down that they are just two different kinds of people and the time will probably never be right but she will keep waiting. It reminds me of Corner Of Your Heart by Ingrid Michaelson as well as Maybe by Kelly Clarkson. There is always one guy that you are willing to go back to or wait around for no matter how many times he leaves you alone.
