This sounds nothing like any other brian jonestown song i've heard but its also one of my favorites, beautiful.
The vocalist loves another person but cannot stay with them because of the vocalist's recurring depression, which pushes the vocalist, almost against their will, to move on to the next place, in an recurring and futile attempt to avoid figurative clouds, representing in this case undesirable and, so far, inexorable negative thought patterns in the vocalist's mind. It's a very sad and beautiful song; it nails bittersweet to a T.
