I hear someone in recovery, which technically he was allegedly drinking at this time. Watching someone kill the selves with drugs and the helplessness felt becuz he can barely take care himself It’s like he was “clean” and she wasn’t he finally sees what And how he acted when effed up while at the end Of their relationship where it’s almost ends hopeful…”she’s recovered” Thankfully Anton stepped backed and saw his path of destruction and pain he caused, I really think he parties but never gets held back by a drug
this song could be about his ex-girlfriend, who left him because of his addiction to drugs!
To me this song is about two people who once had a great love for eachother, and now it is damagaed due to one persons decisions, they both still secretly long for eachother, even though the other has fallen into darker things, and time and logic are not in line with the relationship, so it will never work.
