I think the song is saying people are loved more in death then they are in life. He is wishing that if he left, his love would miss him, just as he would miss her if she were to pass.

i think he may have had an unrequited love, who broke his heart, and then he was thinking about if she would love him if he died. he's not planning on killing himself, but hes fantasising about her reaction.

Beautiful lyrics. The song is pretty self-explainitory, but it's mainly about how he couldn't go on with his life without her. Really hope they play this at the concert. =)
