Free Coffee Town Lyrics
I want to live in a land where there's free coffee
And the beer flows out of the ground
The women are nice
And they don't think twice about kissing you and
Foolin' around
I want to live in a place where there's lots of diamonds
And the parties last 'til dawn
The fights don't hurt
And there's chocolate dirt
And the weed is grown
Instead of the lawn
Is there such a place?
Well, I guess there could be
If we all could be so gentle
If we all could be so free.... coffee
Is there such a place?
Well, I guess there could be
If we all could be so gentle
If we all could be so free.... coffee
I want to live in a place where there's free coffee
When they bury me in the ground
I'll have a smile on my face
I love life in this free coffee town
Is there such a place?
Well, I guess there could be
If we all could be so gentle
If we all could be so free.... coffee
And the beer flows out of the ground
The women are nice
And they don't think twice about kissing you and
Foolin' around
And the parties last 'til dawn
The fights don't hurt
And there's chocolate dirt
And the weed is grown
Instead of the lawn
Well, I guess there could be
If we all could be so gentle
If we all could be so free.... coffee
Well, I guess there could be
If we all could be so gentle
If we all could be so free.... coffee
When they bury me in the ground
I'll have a smile on my face
I love life in this free coffee town
Well, I guess there could be
If we all could be so gentle
If we all could be so free.... coffee

Written by Jared Reynold about his free coffee utopia. It is (according to Ben) as simple as that. Catchy though.
This is a lot like Ben's other coffee song - "And when I was broke I needed it more but now that I'm rich, they give me free coffee" In a concert I went to he said that Starbucks gives him free coffee all the time and he thought it was funny because he now obviously has way more than enough money to pay for it. This guy is so down to Earth.
It actually is just like that song. It is the b-side, if you want to call it that. Ben and his band got together for a marathon recording/writing session to write an alternate Way To Normal album, and released it online as a fake "leak" of their then upcoming album. Most of the songs were similarly named, or different versions of songs on the album.

It can be found online for free, as it was originally intended to be. The alternate version of Cologne is perhaps my favorite.
