This song is featured on the album "The Raven" by The Stranglers. Ahead of the time, it talks already about the fanatism in the religion that will lead to Al Qaida or Daesh. The Shah of Iran, Mohammad Phalavi who was protected by the Americans terrified the people of Iran for years, accumulating a personal fortune of several million dollars. Then he wanted to have the nuclear power (provided by France and Japan), the angry USA made his kingdom fall. The priest in the song is Ayatollah Khomeiny, who was living in Paris at that time. He returned to Iran as a hero, but then, the Chariah Law, restricted a lot the freedom of the Iranian and the islamic republic is declared.
