Not a huge stand out on the album (Considering how amazing the other songs are) but still a really pretty song. Its about a lonely girl (maybe a kid?) and he's saying just keep looking on the brightside.
Yeah it is a really pretty song. I've been to see Glasvegas a good few times now and I always seem to end up being left to go alone and when Lonesome Swan strikes up all I can do is smile really. Such an apt song, it's about being left but being able to pick yourself up and look beyond the present. Lovely.
This song always makes me think of elementary school days, with the mean kids, and that everything can be cured by the ocean. that's just my thoughts on the song. :)
I think this is about a young person who was maybe a beautiful child but lonely at school? Beauty can be a curse?
Basically it says, ok you were alone as a child because of your beauty, but now that you have grown, you will find someone worthy of you and who appreciates you for everything that you are.
