drugs huh? actually, I don't think it's about drugs. Based on alot of the things Oli says, I think this song is totally bashing christianity.

When it says the skies were once paved gold, and it rains on us all, i noticed that this is most likely referring to heaven. Because, ofcourse, heaven is in the sky, and it's streets are paved gold. I'm not sure what the rest of it means, and it rains on us all.

"and i dont want it, i just need it. and i cant believe that its getting harder just to feel alive. curtains close- take a bow. i think we fooled all of them now. who you are, what you say, what you do each and every single day."

At the beginning when it says, I don't need it, I want it. he's probably quoting how he views christianity and how people say they need it, as much as they dont enjoy the restrictions of christianty.

He says I can't believe it's getting harder to just feel alive. When he says this he talking about Christians refer to being alive as being sinless, and the more we sin, the harder it is to feel alive.

He says "curtains close take a bow. i think we fooled all of them now. who you are, what you say, what you do each and every single day" ofcourse, if this is about bashing christianity, he's saying that christians are fake and always put up a show, and what they say is just influenced by artificial happiness.

He says, I'D RATHER LIVE THAN LIVE FOREVER. Christianity is based upon living forever with christ when you believe in him and follow. He's saying that when you try to follow the beliefs of christianity, there are so many restrictions you have to obey, that you can't really enjoy living out a life. So he says he would rather live the life he has, then "live forever" as in, live with many restrictions.

I dont like saying all this, because im a christian. but i really dont think Oli wrote this about drugs. I'm thinking he probably wrote alot of things to make it sound like he was writing it about drugs, but the lyrics point more towards deeper things.

I think BMTH is one of the best screamo bands out there right now. And all the people out there that give comments about what music we like, calling us mental, this music sucks, etc. im sure yall wouldnt like us leavin yall comments, and im sure none of us make comments bout the music u listen to so watch what u say, if u dont like it, keep it to ur self

"I'D RATHER LIVE, THAN LIVE FOREVER" i think that lyric explains a lot about the song. i'm not really feeling the new video but I love how they've changed. their lyrics are different too! it's no longer like "I HOPE YOU DIE YOU FUCKING BITCH!!!" (not really one of their lyrics but yeah) it actually has more of a meaning behind it than just wanting to kill an ex.girlfriend. i like the new style, but it'll take me a while to get used to.

On a side note, does anyone realise the video's just y'know...a joke?

Well, yeah, it COULD be about drugs. It could just be about addiction in general. I'm not dissing your interpretation, just voicing my own.

Just resigning themself to this addiction, realising theres nothing they can do to resolve the situation, nor do they particularly want to.
