I think the NME review said it was "couldn't come down," because it was a drug-fixated record, but I don't know. Great song, anyway.
I'm kinda just guessing, but it sounds like it's about drugs and prostitution.

I don't know, there's little things that just make me think that's what this song's about. Maybe I'm wrong.

'Echoes' could be spelled 'Echos' a slang word for ecstasy or a local night club in Loughborough
