The Banjolin Song Lyrics
She stole my heart and made me sing
She tore me limb from limb
I did not think that I could love
Or be loved that way again
How glad I was to be myself
And use my heart once more
How glad I was to be a man
And love that girl that I adore
Well my eyes shall see light again
And my heart shall bleed right again
She tore me limb from limb
I did not think that I could love
Or be loved that way again
And use my heart once more
How glad I was to be a man
And love that girl that I adore
And my heart shall bleed right again

I am surprised this song doesn't have that many comments. I think this song is about finding new love again unexpectedly and how love can make you a complete person ("Well my eyes shall see light again, And my heart shall bleed right again."
I actually disagree with you. I think the song is about an unfortunate break up. The second stanza is in the past tense, which leads me to interpret the last two lines of the song as him moving on, with his eyes and heart right again.

Wow, first comment on this song. Really good song and I just found out about Mumford & Sons and I'm blown away, excellent band.
This is such a good song! It's sad that some of these songs aren't on their album :( Love Mumford!
