The First Day of Work at the Microscope Store Lyrics
What if the banner falls and the presenters are suffocated?
Stop the grand opening
The microscopes, we can see through them
Broken magnifying glasses
Serenade the passengers until they cry
Dancing for the cameras on the traffic lights
Kissing the turns - I can see through you -
Watching her eyes as he returns
Hold the wheel as every man going 95 on this lane
Serenade the passengers until they cry
Dancing for the cameras on the traffic lights
Like Adam and Eve high and driving
No one would stop us
Stop the grand opening
The microscopes, we can see through them
Broken magnifying glasses
Serenade the passengers until they cry
Dancing for the cameras on the traffic lights
Kissing the turns - I can see through you -
Watching her eyes as he returns
Hold the wheel as every man going 95 on this lane
Serenade the passengers until they cry
Dancing for the cameras on the traffic lights
Like Adam and Eve high and driving
No one would stop us

It's about salads..
wow... i really like the remake of this song. seems very drug induced, the meaning is very unclear. perhaps these are just anthony's thoughts or actions at a particular time when he was high. I dunno, I'd would enjoy some other ideas =)
i like the remake too. haha. either its some insanely deep metaphor or it all just came out of nowhere in his head. haha. either way, i have no idea. but i like it.
Okay, I'm a big fan of Anthony Green and Circa Survive, but to me a few songs on Avalon, including this one, is just a combination of shit thrown together. I don't think he put his most creative mind into this. Just my opinion.
driving on ecstasy. try it, you'll get it.
ultragabe got it 100% correct. "high and driving" he never specified what he was high on
makes sense, I can def see it about being high & driving, maybe ecstasy.

this reminds me of stream of consciousness; he shifts with completely different ideas and does not form any transitions. i think it's interesting having a song written in a form similar.
I read in AP that the first night AG spent with his now wife was driving around listen to music. I'm almost certain it's something only the two of them get, like an inside joke.
