And I Lyrics
Some were reborn
some were simply shaken free
and some were the colors
that took to the streets
they found in their later years
yeah, they see what we need
It's love for each other
and every living thing
and All my time
is used
all my only
and lonely time too
Some simply shaking free
some were the colors
that poured through the streets
They thought in their younger years
they knew what to do
knew what to say
had nothing to lose
Now pick up and pack up
the place you were pink
and falling around
dripping and crawling and
clawing and inside
you're missing some sounds
the ones that float , carry
and dance about time
and space that it lends
room to be free like the sun and the moon
save for the sounds
we'll be reborn
we'll simply be free
and we'll be the colors
that pour through the streets
And find in our after years
that we're all the same
we're all made of colors
and pour through the streets
some were simply shaken free
and some were the colors
that took to the streets
yeah, they see what we need
It's love for each other
and every living thing
is used
all my only
and lonely time too
some were the colors
that poured through the streets
they knew what to do
knew what to say
had nothing to lose
the place you were pink
and falling around
dripping and crawling and
clawing and inside
you're missing some sounds
and dance about time
and space that it lends

save for the sounds

and we'll be the colors

and pour through the streets

Take from the heir Take to the streets And I (x4)

It's as if he's letting you fill in the blank, "And I ____." I like to think I know what he fills that blank with.

this song is absolutely amazing.
it seems like its a song about being free from all material bonds. just being truly free.
does anyone see a resemblance musically to the song 'Elephants' off Ptm's cd Waiter:"You Vultures" ? maybe it's just me, but i hear similarities
I think it is somewhat about being free from material ties, but I think it's going further and talking about reincarnation and the interconnectedness of everything- how as humans we are related to everything, even the colors that wash down the streets. and the only way to live is to love everything and eachother as much as we love ourselves.
I think it's about all the different races of people. How we're all the same and colour doesn't matter, prejudice is meaningless, you're only putting down yourself, and how humans as a race are learning that as our species ages.
more or less i think its about finally realizing purpose in your life and what it finally takes for you to realize it.
I think this is the closest meaning that I could relate to. When I listen to this song I also feel like the writer is trying to say that no matter which background you come from whether it be poverty, riches, or whatever that we're all just human who simply need love...

It's missing some lyrics after "save for the sounds" before "we'll be reborn". Something about air. Either way, GREAT song.I think it's their best song yet.
anyone know what is being said in the first 18 seconds or so of the song? its backwards, but i have no way of playing it backwards
there is a lot of songs on censored colors that have such a wide topic lyrically just about life in general and everything in general like colors, and i, created, our way, and out and in and in and out. maybe its just my opinion but i Know the other 3 previous cds were much different ( i love em all) I think its almost obvious what those songs mean just by listening to them wether or not you can explain out loud or not, not all of there songs come right out and tell you what they mean (they use al ot of metaphors) and maybe im just misinterpreting it or see it differently but I think the cd as a whole is colors of life censored by our reality perspective. "censored colors" or thats what it means to me
