I can't listen while I'm breathing fire
I don't think straight when I get pissed off
It'd be easier to just calm down
Because' I'm an asshole when I get called out
Forget the words I said, I was not myself
I never really thought you were psycho
I was just mad and feeling attacked
I never really thought you were psycho
There's talk, but then there's talk
Where we get so convinced that the thoughts we've got
Like lines in black and white
The tail of the snake is in its teeth tonight
I thought for sure this time I was innocent
And that the girl I love had gone psycho
I was just mad and feeling attacked
I never really thought you were psycho
I know I must have stressed you out
I don't start fights, I make explosions
It'd be easier to just calm down
Because I'm an asshole when I get called out
Forget the words I said, I was not myself
I never really thought you were psycho
I was just mad and feeling attacked
I never really thought you were psycho
I don't think straight when I get pissed off
It'd be easier to just calm down
Because' I'm an asshole when I get called out
I never really thought you were psycho
I was just mad and feeling attacked
I never really thought you were psycho
Where we get so convinced that the thoughts we've got
Like lines in black and white
The tail of the snake is in its teeth tonight
And that the girl I love had gone psycho
I was just mad and feeling attacked
I never really thought you were psycho
I don't start fights, I make explosions
It'd be easier to just calm down

I never really thought you were psycho

This song and I Treat You Wrong makes me immediately think Todd and Orenda are going bad.

either that or it just means that he's keeping his mouth shut because he was wrong earlier when he was yelling at her.
g-d forbid that they should sing TWO WHOLE SONGS that don't make some morbid social statement. the sound is good. i am not worried.
More of The Faint's songs are about subjects other than society/politics than you think JMerrill. Most of those "other subject" songs are much better than this one, for instance "Phone Call" and "Desperate Guys" to name a few.
Regardless, for once the song at hand's meaning is painfully clear. Bad and hasty actions breed nothing but the same kind of reactions and now both parties have to deal with the repercussions.
this album if effing amazing, extremely experimental. i love it on the first listen... and i'm positive that this song is my boyfriend to the tee. perfection.
