On a Myspace bulletin on July 26th, 2008 at 2:10 PM, the band declared that this new song was "about rollerskating and falling in love with your customer."
I'm pretty sure Amy Millan's vocals are saying "you can't save me" as opposed to agreeing with Torquil; it's more in the Stars style to have an antagonistic dialogue in their songs.

yeah i read that... its a pretty random thing to say, maybe they were high while they posted that ? :P
I first heard this song on the Vol. 5 Arts & Crafts sampler, and on that CD this song is called "Rollerskates", so those comments make sense.. I actually had trouble finding the lyrics because of the two different names.
I think the line "I chased a crystal where we're standing" Should be "The chase took us to where we're standing"
