Can't Move On Lyrics
You build a heart that's strong
Walls to last long - it's paper mache
You think the battle's won
No use for shields and guns
You'll need them now
That the lump takes a home in your throat
With the words that you're choking
As you try to tell yourself it's okay
Flying by time to gaze but never face
You're stuck in the moment
When you thought you were rolling,
But you can't move on
You feel like your able
To love past the moment
But you can't move on
Asking why, asking why
Why I can't move on
You can't go, please stay
No. don't stay, go
I'm left, I'm right
I'm black I'm white
You ride a carousel 'round and 'round
Till the sickness grows inside
That lump takes a strangling hold
Squeezes tight till your cold and tears run dry
And where you once were worm now is
Tattered and torn crumbles and fades
You're stuck in the moment
When you thought you were rolling,
But you can't move on
You feel like your able
To love past the moment
But you can't move on
Asking why, asking why
Why I can't move on
Incomplete and stereotypical reaction
I can't get over, over, over you
This is how the story goes, glory in the moment
Won't let you go, won't let, you can't move on
Cant move on, can't move on, oh, I can't move on
You're stuck in the moment
When you thought you were rolling,
But you can't move on
You feel like your able
To love past the moment
But you can't move on
Asking why, asking why
Why I can't move on
Walls to last long - it's paper mache

about after a relationship ends the person/yourself is still stuck about the person that there not with anymore and is having a hard time to move on from them cause they felt so in love with the guy/girl
this is about a breakup. when you think "yes finally im moving on" your back at step one. at the end of the day you find urself dreading for that one person. soo confused why you cant move on when u really want to
the title is sort of self explanitory. It's about after a break-up, you still love that person so much that you can't move on from them. 'You can't go please stay, don't stay go'. You just can't help but keep wanting them back, but then you want to get over them just as bad. "You build a heart that's strong, walls to last long, it's paper mache'." You wonder why you can't move on as easily as you thought you could. "Asking why, asking why, why I can't move on."
Thsi is a beautiful song, the acoustic and the electric version are both brillaint sounding. Juliet is so talented and heartfelt.
