The Weight (The Band cover) Lyrics

I pulled into Nazareth, I was feeling 'bout half past dead
I just need to find a place where I can lay my head
"Hey, Mister, can you tell me, where a man might find a bed?"
He just grinned and then he shook my hand, "No" was all he said

Take a load off Anny, take a load for free
Take a load off Anny, and you put the load right on me

I picked up my bag, I went looking for a place to hide
When I saw old Carmen and the devil walking side by side
I said, "Hey, Carmen, come on, let's go downtown"
She said, "Baby, I gotta go, but my friend the Devil can stick around"

Go down, Miss Moses, there's nothin' that you can say
It's just old Luke, and Luke's waiting on the judgement day
"Well, Luke, my friend, what about young Anna Lee?"
He said, "Do me a favor, son, won't you stay and keep Anna Lee company?"

i am totally and completely in love with this song, which is weird for a remake, cuz remakes are usually not as good as the original. but this is better, i think! brendon's voice is perfect for this song.

Agreed. I don't think I can think of another singer whose voice is as strong as Brendon's. Especially in the Abbey Road special. Even without being autotuned Brendon sounds like a musical god.

There is actually. Its Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy. Patrick and Brendon are the most talented people i know with strong voice.
