I really think Daron, the Singer/Guitarist wrote this song with his old Band mate from System, Serj Tankian. This is the first track of the CD, so I think it's also in a sense him saying "This is not System, Don't expect it to be."

It's great, in my opinion. I will always believe Tankians/Malakians voices will be less without the others, but I still love the music each has created since System Disbanded.

Its to kick off the whole album, and tell you not to take anything he says too seriously. thats what i think.

this song was an awesome way to kick off the cd!!! catchy and really up beat. i cant quite figure out what to think of it except that he seems to be sarcastic in the chorus

i think that this is refering to what almost everyone in america says when someone trys to acctually think something through and do something right. people will just brush it off and say that you're too serious

IMO, this song is clearly about how our American society is based around Christianity and Christian eschatology. Everyone is happy to live their lifes believing what the masses believe without looking for anything else. The main character (could be Daren, could be someone else) is actually looking for something else, more specifically - love.

I love the line "Losing, losing, losing and I'm feeling lucent." It's as if the main character is standing there while everyone is failing saying I told you so but, yet still, no one believes him.

IMO, I think this song is about how religion is not the true love. Love is the true love.

I agree with Chazz. This certainly looks like some retribution toward Serj Tankian. The scars on broadway album is MUCH lighter in subject (although not musically) than what Serj or SoaD did in the past. To be honest I kinda welcome this as I've always felt some bands (like SoaD) over-exploited certain themes.
