Everything Lyrics
Warm skin, smooth lips
Our hearts are strong and toned,
our hearts speak of the unknown
I know that when I'm out here on the road,
you ear's pressed to your phone as you wait for me
You're waiting there so patiently until...
I throw caution to the wind
And suck your sweet poison
Your body is everything
As I trip on my desire,
I dive into your fire
Your body is everything
Fast asleep, my chest your cheek
You softly hum a tune to me
from deep withing your dreams
Your eyes tell the story of my life
and your smile...
the reason I am still alive
You never let me down
Our hearts are strong and toned,
our hearts speak of the unknown
I know that when I'm out here on the road,
you ear's pressed to your phone as you wait for me
You're waiting there so patiently until...
And suck your sweet poison
Your body is everything
As I trip on my desire,
I dive into your fire
Your body is everything
You softly hum a tune to me
from deep withing your dreams
Your eyes tell the story of my life
and your smile...
the reason I am still alive

Maybe he's sing about his wife, and being away from her on tours and stuff and not have sex. how much he miss it and her.
Absolutely nothin' wrong with wanting to be close to your wife. I agree with your interpretation.

thats exactly what it means ^^^^^^
I agree that it's more than just sex. The song illustrates his resisting to, and later giving in to, temptation and lust.
The line "our hearts speak of the unknown" is actually "our tongues will speak of the unknown"
anyone else hear that?
I love this song, and it's definitely what these other comments are saying.
I don't think its that cut and dry...
I think the 2nd verse is meant to illustrate the writers struggles with the road and giving into certain temptations - whether they be drugs or booze or whatever.
However in the end she's his savior.
i have to say its defintely about sex. i don't think he has problems with drugs and booze really. i mean he says, YOUR BODY is everything....sex!!
not necessarily, he probably doesn't have problems when it comes to drugs but I think this song is representative of giving into desires. I think it's about giving into what we're hopelessly drawn to, whether it be good or bad. I know I've been in the position where I threw caution to the wind and dove into something I knew I shouldn't, but there are some things, some people and some times that you just can't help yourself with. that's what I get out of it

oh yeah what do you think "throw caution to the wind" means?
Intimacy makes us vulnerable- sometimes it's hard to "throw caution to the wind" in order to be closer (physically and emotionally) with someone. I think that is what they are referring to :).

this is talking about marrital love (sex) and that when being away from it's something to look forward to. I know because i asked Matt (the singer for Classic crime).
People are weird these days. Physical attraction immediately equals sex? I don't see that. He's lost in ecstasy over her body, but the song has nothing to do with sex. It's a purely mental state. It is talking about his wife, but even that doesn't mean that the song must be about sex. "I throw caution to the wind and suck your sweet poison." Matt McDonald uses this imagery a lot. "Strangely poetic like a black widow's kiss" -Blindfolded "Give me your poison pills, cause I'm digging my star-crossed grave tonight" -Gravedigging "I'll drink your poison and say 'I'm still not going away'" -All the Memories It's just imagery, it's not about drugs. Throwing caution to the wind is a bit of an old saying meaning that you do something without hesitation, not a moment of caution or reluctance. But mostly I think it's funny that everyone immediately jumps to the conclusion that it's about sex.
Oh...I always thought it was 'suck your sweet poise in," like her manner or nature, he's just taking it all in. I don't know, poison does sound better. =-)
